We all tend to frequently talk about the bad luck we have and the good luck that everybody else seems to have. Do you really believe this? If you really think about it, in all of our lives, there is a little bit of everything, of good moments and bad moments. You are not the only one.
If you want to change your luck, be brave and start over. Adopt a positive attitude, don’t be afraid of a new beginning, get rid of all of your negative thoughts, and stop torturing yourself for mistakes you have made. It may be that in reality being lucky actually lies in the attitude you have towards life.
1. Be positive.
If you believe good things will happen in your life, they will happen. Within your attitude lies the belief that thing will go well, or the perspective that what has happened is not the worst case scenario. If you cultivate positivity, you may find that you get lucky more often.
“The bad things that have happened to you are simply a prelude to something good.”
2. If something doesn’t turn out the way you had hoped, try it again.
Instead of complaining that something didn’t go well, why don’t you just try it again? Things haven’t gone well in your relationship so far? Try it again. The cake you just baked burned in the oven? Make it again! And when you try these things again, think about what you can improve.
3. Believe that you do not have bad luck.
Life is like a Ferris Wheel: sometimes we are on top, sometimes we are at the bottom. What happens is what we tend to complain about how bad everything is when we are at the bottom. This is because we have learned to focus our energy on negative things.
4. Be brave.
If you start something new, like a new relationship or a new job, with fear and dread, it doesn’t stand much of a chance to go well. When you see people who have found their dream job or met the love of their life, don’t say that it is because you haven’t gotten lucky that you don’t have these things. It is likely that that person worked very hard for that job, or that their relationship grew into a beautiful one but wasn’t always perfect. Follow their example, be brave, work hard, and think positively.
